Usage
Once Smart Irrigation is installed, the following things will be created in Home Assistant:
- A sidebar panel that you can use to configure the integration, including the Home tab, which shows what is about to happen and what already did.
- A dashboard card you can add to any dashboard, showing where each zone stands right now and when the water goes on.
- An sensor entity for each zone you configured.
- A couple of services to automate tasks.
- A start event that will indicate that irrigation should start to finish before sunrise.
- Together all of these things allow you to write your automations.
- Driving the water yourself, or integrating with Smart Irrigation from your own code? The output contract is the one page that says what is published, when it changes, and what is promised.
- If a Rain Bird, Hydrawise, Rachio, OpenSprinkler or B-hyve controller runs your valves, a blueprint per brand hands it the calculated durations: see off-the-shelf controllers.
- You can use enhanced scheduling, and hand the calculated run times to Irrigation Unlimited or Irrigation-V5.
